Terms of use
OK Feel free to use any file you download from here in your personal game(s) or in your own creations (ie building sim houses) and to generally toss them around the web to friends and other gamers. If you upload any unchanged file or a derivative work from a file that you downloaded from here to other places (your own or someone else's website, a forum or the ea gallery as examples) give credit along side the file so that it is obvious to others where the original file came from. A link would be nice, but just a mention is ok too. Examples of derivative works are a redecoration or minor remodeling of a house, a recolor of an original texture made by me or a retexture of one of my original object meshes.
For your convenience, here's a few credit lines you can copy and paste:
Files from jendea.net included with permission.
Files from jendea.net reposted with permission.
Original file from jendea.net; edited with permission.
Not OK
Any misrepresentation including but not limited to: claiming a file you find here as your own work, posting edited or recolored files from here and not giving credit for the original to jendea.net, selling files that you find here in any way either on CD, or uploading unchanged files to a pay site. Note: derivative works to paysites are fine with obvious credit, just don't try to sell people things they could get here for free please!
Getting Downloads Into Your Games
Sims3
Unzip the files and drop into the "Downloads" folder, typically found
under Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads.
When you open your game, the game launcher
will have the new items available in your "Downloads" Tab. Check the boxes next to the files you want to install and click "install".
It may take a while; the launcher goes through a process of loading the game, installing and then closing it again before you can do anything else.
Note: Once you have installed the files,
you can move them out of the Downloads folder. I keep mine organized in a seperate folder on my desktop. If you delete the files in the launcher, you will not be able to reinstall
them later if you need to unless you download them again.
Sims4
Houses and Lots: Unzip all the files contained in the house or lot zip into your Tray folder located in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray. The houses and lots in the Sims 4 are quite different from the other games and the zips will contain a number of files including trayitems, bpi and blueprint files, all with the same "date modified" date and time stamp. (These files are created in your Tray folder when you save a house or lot.) The house will be available to place when you start your game next.
Walls, Floors, Objects and Other Files:
Most other custom content is normally in .package format and can be dropped into your "Mods" folder: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. If you do not have one yet, you can create a Mods folder in The Sims 4 folder to put your downloads in. The game recognizes anything in this folder as custom content and you may have to allow custom content in your game if it's the first time you are using downloaded content or sometimes immediately after an update by Origin to the base game. Under Options, click on the Game Options and there should be a button to toggle custom content towards the bottom of the list. After you OK custom content, you will have to restart your game before your new things will be available for you to use.
Prison Architect
Place the prison and the corresponding .png file into your Users\(yourusername)\AppData\Local\Prison Architect\saves folder. It will be available to load as a saved game the next time you start.
Zoo Tycoon 2
Places zoos (ending in .z2s) in Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\(your profile)\Saved
Place paths and other custom content (ending in .z2f) in your Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2 folder.
Contact Me
See a mistake? See something interesting you think I'd be interested in? Want to add your wishlist item to the sims 4 wishlist? Er...yeah, I'm working on a nifty form that you can do all that in. In the meantime, feel free to contact me at
Jendea over at ye olde jendea.com site. Until I get the form up and running, please don't be offended if I don't answer your mail immediately. I do check every day, but I am human and that email has been around since ~ 2002 and is a huge monster of junk, personal and sims related mails. I miss stuff every now and then.

Here is a boring button for you to snag:

If you would like me to link back, I'm happy to include your sims, or game related blog, site, forum etc. on my links page. Please send me a note letting me know that you linked here and that you'd like me to link back (sending or directing me to a button would be helpful also.)
